Tretinoin Gel 0.1% is a topical vitamin A derivative used to help treat acne and improve the appearance of acne-prone skin. It works by increasing skin cell turnover and helping prevent pores from becoming clogged, which can reduce the formation of spots and pimples.
With regular use as directed by a healthcare professional, tretinoin may also help improve uneven skin texture and the appearance of fine lines and other signs of photoaging. Results can take several weeks to become noticeable, and consistent use is important.
Apply a thin layer to clean, completely dry skin, usually at night or as directed by your healthcare professional. Tretinoin may cause dryness, peeling, redness, or irritation, especially during the first few weeks of treatment. Avoid applying it to broken, sunburned, or irritated skin and avoid contact with the eyes, lips, and inside of the nose.
Tretinoin can increase sensitivity to sunlight. Limit unnecessary sun exposure and use appropriate sun protection during treatment. Do not use more product or apply it more frequently than directed, as this may increase irritation without improving results.
Clean the affected area with a mild cleanser and gently pat the skin completely dry. Apply a thin layer of Tretinoin Gel 0.1% to the affected area, preferably at night or according to your healthcare professional's instructions.
Wash your hands after application unless your hands are the treated area. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, mouth, nose, and broken or irritated skin.
Use only the amount recommended by your healthcare professional. Applying a larger amount or using it more frequently will not make it work faster and may increase skin irritation.

HOW TO USE
Cleanse the affected area gently and allow the skin to dry completely. Apply a thin layer of Tretinoin Gel 0.1% once daily in the evening, or use exactly as directed by your healthcare professional.
Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, corners of the nose, mouth, and mucous membranes. Wash your hands after application. Using more than directed will not improve results and may increase irritation.
Tretinoin may cause dryness, redness, peeling, or irritation, particularly when treatment is started. If significant irritation occurs, contact your healthcare professional for guidance.
Minimize exposure to sunlight and UV light while using tretinoin. When sun exposure cannot be avoided, use sunscreen and protective clothing as directed by your healthcare professional.
